New Zealand Film School

The New Zealand Film School needed an identity that could transcend a variety of styles and genres while still being strongly identifiable and able to grow with the organisation's changing focus. It was a challenging brief and the road to fruition contained some growing pains. In the end, however the organisations own story strongly shaped it's identity, the result is an elegant brand which is young, edgy, subversive, flexible and slightly unexpected.

The Film School's re-branding was undertaken as part of our arts sponsorship programme. Other recipients this year are Site Specific, who we will be continuing to sponsor. Sponsoring arts organisations is an opportunity for us to support the creation of New Zealand stories and storytellers across a range of genres, because we believe a society's identity, like an individual's, is defined by its stories.
