This Bottle was Born to Sing

"The image that brands project is critical to their success, and those images must be conveyed by packaging. The ultimate touch point for consumer product brands. If the packaging doesn't appeal to the consumer, why would the brand or product appeal?"Ted Mininni Maximizing Brand Image through Package Design

36 Bottles Goes Live

After months of hardwork, by all involved, on the brand, the wine and the website. 36 bottles is live.

This website is an expression of 36 bottles' brand, which is based around the idea of a winesmith's apothecary. A place where you study wine, think about wine, and create it.

With photography by Dean Zillwood and development by Verb, this site has come together beautifully.

Hello 2009, nice to be here

"A New Year's resolution is something that goes in one year and out the other."
And on that note here are ours.

New year, new times and new critters lots of them.
E mail? No way....I'd rather talk face to face.
Websites, they need updating.... remember to do it.

Yes to sunshine, and lying in it.
Even more enjoyable projects.
Arise from thy desk and have lunch outside.
Running running running.
Smiles and siestas.... zzzzzzzzzzzz.

Welcome back and here's to a great year in 2009.
We look forward to working with you some more.
Love from all of us at Neogine.

Spam one liners

Turning spam into art.

Here's a project that turns the tables on spammers. Making spam useful and even aesthetically pleasing. Little pieces of hand made typography made from the titles of spam found in the artists inbox.

Spotlight on Valery Designwrks

Birds with teeth????

We love the illustrations by this Canadian illustrator and designer. Their colourful quirky mix of digital and handrawn techniques will appeal to anyone with a sense of fun and whimsy. There is a touch of Dr Seuss to these characters. Birds with teeth??????

Black Rock Collective

Deck of cards lovingly created by 37 artists

The Black Rock Collective was formed after a bunch of very talented designers meet through an online tee shirt design competition, the internationally acclaimed Threadless.com to be exact. One techno-savvy member set up the Black Rock forum. Soon there were masses of designs to be critiqued, and collaborations to be ...collaborated on. A rather crass yet brilliant Australian member had the idea of doing a card deck.
The result of hours of doodling, squabbling, and sanding every card by hand has produced this diverse and beautiful card deck. It feels amazing, and deserves to be fondled as much as possible.
This is not only a deck of cards, but 54 little pieces of art. Not surprisingly they sold out their first run in hours.
